Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been around online and updating my blog much this Fall. Along with writing my seventh Love Inspired Suspense mystery I was taking my local Citizen's Police Academy! It was a very exciting course with demonstrations from many local police units including Canine, Fraud, Tech Crime, Emergency Response (Canadian version of SWAT), Homicide, and Drugs and Vice. The officers were amazing and I'm so thankful that they took the time out to run these courses for people in the community. Most of the other students in the class were training to be cops. I just wanted to find out more for my fictional heroes and heroines! I walked away with tons and tons of research that I'm slowly transcribing into my research database in Scrivener. So, I'm sure there will be more police stories coming in future!
I'm also really excited that Christmas Blackout is out in stores, which was inspired by the terrible ice storm that hit us two Christmases ago. (We had a very warm, green, snow-free Christmas this year!) And also that the back cover blurb is out for my next Love Inspired Suspense -- Tactical Rescue which comes out this May. You can read all about it here. Hope you had a wonderful holidays. I'm looking forward to sharing more adventures with you in 2016!
